Telemarketing and Do-Not-Call Laws

Laws governing telemarketing and Do-Not-Call Lists, including telemarketing auto dialer equipment and software vary dramatically. Each country, state, province, county and city may have their own laws.

Even the definition of what is considered telemarketing as opposed to providing a value added service to your clients may vary by application, market and jurisdiction.

Since there are so many different laws and since many laws contradict one another, Parliant does not offer any advice to potential or existing customers on laws related to automated dialing and message delivery equipment or software.

It is the sole responsibility of each user of outbound dialing equipment to familiarize themselves with the laws related to their application and location of operation. This is an important issue as fines can be significant.

Requirements
Are Parliant's products compatible with DSL Internet services?

Yes, Parliant's telephony products will work fine on a phone line that also has "High-Speed" DSL Internet service on it. Parliant's USB Telephone Adapter connects to the phone line just like a telephone — so it requires a DSL filter device in between it and the phone jack.

Third Party Integration
I keep a database of people in another application. Can I use that database in PhoneHerald?

Yes. Simply export the data to a tab or comma-delimited text file and PhoneHerald can import the data into a group.
